Dear Parents,
The kickoff for Penny Wars this morning was fantastic! Thanks for letting your kids participate in all of the fun and fundraise for end of year activities! They were all very excited and pumped for the classroom competitions!
Results for Monday:
Winner of the day 1 Penny War Challenge - Kennedy’s Class - They will get a free homework pass! (Below are the penny totals)

Selvitella - 1,587
Phelan - 818
Cumulative Points for the week (This counts towards the grand prize)
1st Place: Phelan - 988 Points
2nd Place: Selvitella - 642 Points
3rd Place: Fecteau - 241 Points
4th Place: Kennedy - Negative 3912 Points
You might be asking, how could a class have negative points? Silver coins reduce the overall points for a class. Kennedy’s class had SOOOO many pennies, the kids were trying to bring that number down. There’s plenty of time to get that number back up over the next few days!
Tomorrow’s Challenge: The class with the most Quarters wins a game of speedball with the PE Teachers! Also, Tomorrow is the ONLY day where Quarters = positive points!

South Elementary PTO is a group of volunteer parents focused on raising money to support programs and initiatives that benefit the students at South Elementary. The majority of our funds go to support curriculum enrichment, equipment for specials such as PE and art, and continuation of software licenses enable highly interactive and engaging learning for the students.
